Sweet Siblings Share
I had the honor of photographing L when she was 6 months old. She's grown into a very sweet young lady and those adorable blond ringlets. I was excited to meet D and it was wonderful watching them together. Lady L is a doting big sister to her brother.

After a few photographs of them in the clothes their Mom selected, we took a break for a wardrobe change. L loved dancing around in the hot pink pettiskirt and twirling the umbrella.

Changing gears again, this time to the great American past time. Their Dad is a huge Red Sox fan!

A future All-Star!

The baseball outfit for little girls features a skirt like they wore in the movie "A League of Their Own."

Dynamic Duo in Concord Share
I've been photographing a lot of 2 year old boys lately. I love their energy and enthusiasm as they explore the world around them. This little guy is T and along with his big sister F, we had an adventurous session in Concord.

Double the fun! Share
A recent portrait session for a pair of 2 year old boys was filled with fun, laughter and some chasing. C + Q are neighbors who spend most of their time together and they've developed a very close friendship. They are your typical 2 year old boys, inquisitive and adventurous.

Giggles at Larz Anderson Park Share
I enjoyed spending time with Miss M. Our portrait session was in the late afternoon and I quickly learned about one of her most endearing qualities. When she gets tired, she can't stop giggling. Her levity was infectious and I can't remember the last time I giggled so much. So together we danced, bounced and giggled our way through the park.

Little Lady in the Park Share
Today we're sharing more photographs from our children's series at Lars Anderson Park.
This sweetie pie is little A. Her mom warned us that she can be a bit shy and suspected that she maybe reserved during the photo session. It's always a huge relief when we can coax a timid child to relax and enjoy the time in front of the camera. The best reward for us are photographs like these. You be the judge, is she having fun?

She really loved the pettiskirt!

Portrait Session at Larz Anderson Park Share
This summer, I've been creating a series of children's portraits at the Larz Anderson Park located in Brookline. It's a charming park with a little something for everyone. For children, the expansive grounds offer plenty of room to run and an intriguing pond with ducks, koi and frogs. Warning: there is a high risk of wet feet. For adults, there are the beautifully landscaped gardens, surprising architectural details and the adjoining Auto Museum.
I find it an enchanting location for taking pictures or enjoying a beautiful summer day. One recent session was with little B.
He is a die hard Red Sox Fan! Without a doubt the most serious 3 year old fan I've met. He has created the Red Sox song in which he recites the starting line-up! Chris joined me this day and together we had a great time chatting about our favorite team. B kept us on our toes. The best was when he was talking about Josh Beckett, the ace pitcher for the Sox. B quietly informed us that most of the time he pitches but sometimes he hits home runs. This does sound unusual for a Red Sox pitcher whose spot in the batting line-up is filled by the designated hitter. However, they had recently played in a National League park where the pitchers must take their own at bats. Josh Beckett did indeed hit a home run. This is a why I love working with children.
During our portrait session, we began with some pictures in the outfit we wore to the park. B was excited to change into the baseball uniform and begin playing. I do owe Chris an extra thank you for helping out on this session. The baseball came dangerously close to his head several times.

Gone Fishing Share
One of the new theme portraits we are offering this summer is "Gone Fishin" There is just something irresistible about overalls with bare feet. This is B, who was just days away from becoming a big brother on the day we created these photographs. His mom, Michelle, deserves all the accolades for being so wonderful and hanging out in the park so close to her due date.

This is my personal favorite. I love that when left to his own devices, B wanted to go fishing in the tree. So envious of his imagination!

Erin Share
Erin is your typical 'tween, straddling between childhood innocence and the tumultuous teenage years. It's been a great honor watching her grow and documenting the journey. Erin is my niece, my brother's daughter. Although she still indulges my requests to photograph her, I know that will soon change.
To me, these photographs capture her very essence. She's a girl who loves to sing and dance around the house constantly (and I do mean constantly). As she continues to grow, her silly smile will be corrected by braces. For all these reasons, I cherish these photographs of her.

Play Ball! Share
Patrick is the son of our dear friends Jason and Dari. We've had the great honor of photographing him since he was inutero. When Dari learned that we added vintage baseball uniforms to our collection, she knew the perfect Father's Day gift for Jason.
To our surprise, we were actually able to keep this a secret from Jason!
Patrick doesn't understand all the nuances of the game just yet, but give him time.

Claire at the Arnold Arboretum Share
This little cutie pie is Claire who joined us at the Arnold Arboretum a few weeks ago. She was a fantastic model and didn't let her teething get in the way of having fun!
